Another good local place to buy metal is Breed & Company. They have a good variety of metals and carry some things that I haven't seen anywhere else. They are located at 718 West 29th street, between Lamar and Guadalupe streets. Their phone number is 474-6679.

The Materials section of Craigslist also has some really good metal for sale on it sometimes. Mostly pipe, but sometimes other shapes are listed on there also.
