I enjoy building things and working with metal.
I started welding back in the mid 70s. I have taken some classes at ACC and TSTI in Waco. Most of my welding experiance is in maintenace and repair of trucks, construction equipment and farm equipment. I have also built a variety of things like cattle guards, brackets of all kinds, burgular bars, fences, chain racks on eighteen wheelers, bumper and grille guards for construction trucks and tomato cages.
I need to expand my workspace in my shop and want to build it out of red iron.
I have a few.
Going to one of the meetings is an excellent way to learn about metal working and to meet other people who are intested in working with metal. The meetings are an excellent value for the small fee that is charged. A good chance try something new!

"We had a very productive meetup tonight. Progress was made with planning for the East Austin Studio that will take place two weekends in November. Sharon made some more jewlery and Brian did some woodworking and coppersmithing. ..."
