$10.00 meeting
Why: Use of our tools & metal along with discussing your projects
Are you looking for art space??. We are looking for serious artists, concientious people, non smokers who dont mind working for their art. contact me at 512-444-3831 Ask for Sharon Blackwell
We are a group of hot metal, artists that utilize various types of fabrication to construct thought provoking work. Our co-op is a friendly place where we can share our ideas and gain knowledge on how to bring our visions to fruition. Our demonstrations to the public allow artists to expand and extend their work in ways they were not able to do before due to limited space, lack of contact with other artists, or lack of knowledge.
Due to some changing and challenging circumstances we are looking for anyone willing to donate tools, goggles, equipment, welding tables, cash or raw materials(metal- but not galvanized) to our co-op. We need another gas welding set up(complete with tips and cutting torch). Contact me if you have one you would like to sell to me. Also, we are now requiring that you bring your driver's license to the meetups for security purposes.
This meetup is for artists who use "fire" to manipulate their medium.
Fire has been known to come from a torch, kiln, welder, campfire.
It is for anyone interested in and/or currently working with metal, glass, enamels, clay....
Our hope is that we will grow as artists by sharing ideas, information, techniques, work space and tools.
Meet other local metal artists.
If you come to our space to learn to weld the fee is $10. If you are not there to LEARN to weld, please email me for information as I do not have time to talk when I am teaching. Thank-you for your consideration.
ARE YOU LOOKING for artspace? If you make art with metal, we have space for you!! Please contact Sharon Blackwell at 512-444-3831
