Current threads of conversation include (but are not limited to):
-Cross referencing technologies; the similarities in chemistry and material properties that working at high heat entails. There is much we can learn from each other from our prospective disciplines
-There is a great interest in the group to develop a place to cooperatively work, teach and promote our art
-Selling to the public; our personal experiences
-Where we are currently working? what is the cost? what are our personal goals and struggles, IE. balancing 'work' for income with our 'work' as artists
-The encouragement of experimentation
-A genuine excitement and admiration about each others very unique artistic expression

We are all at different skill levels within our mediums. What is great about this meetup is that we can learn from each other, get inspired, explore new territory, and grow as artists and human beings in the process. Whether you are new to Fire or are a veteran in the Fire arts, Come join us for lively conversation, learning and sharing.

PS The fee is to off set the cost of maintaining a meetup group, and is voluntary

Hi Amanda, sorry you can't make the meet-up. I am going to try to have one meeting a month during the week, and one on a weekend so that hopefully more people can find at least one that works for them. I am open to suggestions as to times and meeting places. thanks, Julie

Dear Fire artists, I am self supporting from the proceeds of my art and I need to have my shop open on Saturday afternoon. I cannot make the new meeting. Though I do agree that it would be better to hold it in the afternoon at a public place in daylight. Amanda
